April in the Garden: Top Ten Tips

seed sowingWell, how’s the weather been with you? Last year saw most of the UK experiencing a March that was much colder than average and where, at the beginning of April there were places where snow was still on the ground, power lines were down and so on.

What a  difference a year makes! Following the wettest and also one of the mildest of winters, early spring has been a bit of a mixed bag, with some colder snaps intermingled with warmer weather. Lots of plants have made good growth already, but if, like me, you might still be a bit behind with one or two things, my first tip won’t be a surprise!
