Our lawn was decimated by chinch bugs a couple of years ago and I kept hoping that our lawn would come back, but it didn’t.  My wife has been asking me that we needed to do something with the lawn for about 1+ years.  So I took out the old brick wall at our front patio and designed a more modern outdoor living space.

We framed the planter box and walkway with 2×4 contacted rated pressure treated wood.  We purchased our pressure treated from Southern Pine Lumber.  Jay is a very knowledgeable guy on all things lumber.

The plan was to create planter boxes and incorporating a sitting area.  The walkway deck is an afterthought, but it works pretty well with the design.
