I thought it was past time for an update on how our summer garden is doing. Ryder has pretty much ruined most of our garden by playing his favorite game, which is chase me around the yard to try and get the soccer ball. Despite the destruction, and that we’ll have to replant some beds in the fall, it is the most adorable thing to watch.

One part of our garden has managed to survive the wrath of Ryder–our vegetable garden. In fact, maybe of the herbs have flourished this year. You might remember that in spring we planted some red cabbage, spinach, arugula and asparagus. The spinach and arugula were fabulous and kept us supplied with lettuce for a good long time.
